      Colloquio

I got an email from the recruiter after my online application to schedule a telephonic interview. There was no communication for one month after the first email. Then got another email and the finally the interview was scheduled. The first round was two telephonic interviews back to back with two different people from the marketing team. Both of them sounded really impressed with my experience. The recruiter wanted me to travel to Paris to meet the people from Marketing, Sales, and Strategy teams and have a discussion with them. I happily agreed and travelled to Paris for the interview as this opportunity was suiting my profile and interests. I finished three rounds of the interview back to back on the same day and all of them sounded excited after the conversation. They asked me to wait for another week and I would get the clear picture about their decision. Once I returned to my place, I shared the invoices of my flight tickets, accommodation and food for reimbursement. They took more than a month to reimburse the money even after notifying them few times. After two months finally, the HR said the recruitment is put on hold and they would call me once they start hiring again for the final round of interview. It's been more than 4 months now and still, I have not heard anything from the recruiter. I gave my best and ended up wasting a lot of time and money on this recruitment process. I wouldn't join this company even if they offer me a better job now. Very disappointed with the recruitment process.

My interview process started with a call from an HR rep who walked me through the role and the company, making sure it was a good fit for both sides. From there, I had three phone interviews—some with multiple people—where we covered everything from my experience to how I approach problem-solving. Each conversation gave me a better sense of the team and what they were looking for. Finally, I was invited to an onsite interview at their office in Alameda. I got to meet key stakeholders, dive into more detailed discussions, and even tackle some practical exercises. It was a thorough process, but it also gave me a real feel for the company and the people I’d potentially be working with. * HR did an excellent job coordinating and organizing the interviews. Except for my experience with a handful of well-prepared interviewers, the onsite interview felt disorganized and disrespectful of my time with the following: * The initial on-site contact showed up 20 minutes after my first interview was scheduled to start and 50 minutes after the front desk had left them a voicemail indicating that I had arrived. * The onsite included sessions where only offshore participants attended. Technical difficulties caused the session to start 15 minutes late and ultimately was crammed into a 15-minute discussion with no operable video link and an audio link that was barely audable. * The hiring manager set a poor example by attending the main session of the onsite interview remotely, despite being in the same building. At the very end, he briefly stepped in for an eight-minute closing discussion but remained fully distracted by typing on his phone the entire time.
