The first interview screen was pretty straightforward, with general “why are you interested in the role, Pinterest, etc. types of questions.” The first screen went very well from my perspective, and the recruiting coordinator I spoke with ran me through the rest of the rest of the interview process and when I could expect to hear back. I didn’t hear back during the timeline I was told about, so I reached out to the RC. No response. I essentially ended up getting ghosted and declined a week later by an automated email. When I asked for feedback since I was surprised to not move to the next round, more silence. For a team whose purpose is recruiting coordination and managing the candidate experience, I was very disappointed by the process and lack of communication, and expected more from a company like Pinterest.

There is an initial 30 minute phone screen with recruiter. Next, there is a 30 minute zoom interview with the hiring manager. The final round would be a 2+ hour panel with multiple people on the recruiting team. -Note that all RC's are contract here, with very little permanent roles available once the contract is up.

My resume was submitted via referral so the interview process was two rounds: 1 hiring manager/recruiter, and 1 "onsite" interview with 2 members of the team. Everyone was great to talk to and the hiring manager was transparent about the process every step of the way. There was a lot of behavioral and situational questions. Overall, it was a great interview experience.
