      Colloquio

To start, a recruiter reached out to me on Linked in asking if I would be open to a role with PlanSource. I replied with my resume and some availability. She didn't respond for about a week, and then out of the blue tried to call me the following Monday when I was unavailable. I replied again on Linkedin with my availability that week. After another stretch of silence, she called me around 4pm Friday (not when I said I was available) to chat for a few minutes. This turned out to actually be a pre-interview where I wasn't given much opportunity to ask questions, but she questioned me for about 30 minutes, then asked if I would be willing to interview with the hiring manager. I scheduled the next interview with the hiring manager the following Tuesday morning, which lasted 45 minutes and went very well in my opinion. At this point I was feeling a lot more interested in the role, and it sounded like it was a good fit. Shortly afterward, another recruiter reached out via email (much better) to schedule another interview with the rest of the team. He also asked me to call him to talk about the online assessment for "10 minutes" which lasted 30 minutes where he explained in painstaking detail tips and tricks on how to take the assessment. We set up another interview 2 days later (for Thursday morning). On the second interview with the other team members, I was asked questions for 45 minutes. While I would say it went very well, I also didn't get an opportunity to ask any questions, and this one felt very rushed. 45 minutes is really pushing it when there are 4 other people trying to get all their questions in. But by the end, it felt really positive and I was expecting to hear something soon. A bit later in the day after hearing nothing, I emailed the recruiter asking a couple follow up questions. He responded that I should call him (this was about 7PM Thursday night). I called and he explained to me that they had an offer out to another candidate already, but wanted to keep in touch with me. He also mentioned that the amount of money I was asking for was probably too high and the reason they probably went with the other candidate (despite the fact that during the initial call with the first recruiter, she offered that specific amount to me, not the other way around). Overall, it was a big waste of time. The first recruiter was terrible about communication and took almost 2 weeks to actually connect with me despite me providing my weekly availability 2 weeks in a row. I wonder if that played a factor in the ultimate hiring decision.

      Domande di colloquio [1]

      Domanda 1

They asked me several technical questions and other things about this type of role. Two questions stood out to me as being very weird because I was asked the same questions by different people over the course of the interview process: "Are you an early bird?" and "How many fidget spinners do you have at your desk?"
