I passed the initial screening and I was invited to a first interview. The interview was conducted in Portuguese and English. There was effective communication during the entire hiring process.

The atual interview was nice, it took place at their office in downtown Porto. Curious though that the person interviewing me was not part of an HR department or had any sort of HR experience, it was directly with the person leading the Commercial department. I never met or spoke with someone from HR. What followed was one of the most stressfull experiences of my life: no feedback whatsoever, she didn't give me a phone number to reach out so I sent a first follow-up email, no reply. Several weeks went by, I tried to connect with the person I interview with through LinkedIN, she never accepted the connection request. More weeks went by. Finally, I received an email simply stating that they would not proceed with the process. I was starting my MBA program at the time in the same school where the person who interviewed me also took the same MBA program a couple of years before... I guess she missed a couple of people management and leadership classes!
