The hiring process consisted of two phone interviews (technical) followed by an on-site follow up. The interview had a strong focus on probability and statistics; mainly on how to model problems, and evaluate the assumptions made in order to get a tractable solution. I found the interviews challenging but came away with a good feeling. The interviewers were engaging and dropped hints when they found me struggling. Most of the interview questions are based on actual scenarios encountered at Quantcast.

I was contacted by a recruiter. I then had two phone screens. The phone screens were friendly and very focused on machine learning. The folks there have interesting backgrounds and asked very pointed questions. Ultimately, I didn't get an offer though the experience was ok. Overall I got the impression that their work was interesting and that they have strong momentum in their problem space.
