I had applied for role of bilingual PDM. Interview process was so different from interviews I had given before. I was on maternity break when I was interviewed for this role and I spent weeks prepping myself for this. However the interview process was unique and more of real time work than rhetoric redundant mundane questions. I throughly enjoyed that particular phase.

I was asked to bridge real time meeting between India head and CTO (India and Japan). Fact that both knew english and one was Native Japanese made level of interview challenging and at same time interesting.

AVOID SUBMITTING the Case Study submission as Company asks for Org. strategy and Domain Market analysis. Case Study component is more on Market strategy, Features - write down Epics. The company doesn't have any Product Roadmap and is conducting case study for preparing Roadmap. Overall 5 rounds of interviews including case study submission. Round 1 - HR vetting Round 2 - Test on HackerRank Round 3 - HR/ Tech review Round 4 - India Head Round 5 - Case study Preparation ( Will take 20+ hours) + Q&A with HR/ India Head on Round 6 - Case Study probing but all questions will be on Domain and strategy, not Product Management frameworks or best practices. There are no rubrics to test Product Manager, just ego boost of senior folks.

Interview is more like Information Gathering on best practices and Enterprise features than problem solving, etc. Q. Asking about PM best practices you follow in organization Q. Asking about Enterprise Software's best practices Q. A really long case study to gather information and best practices. Q. Hacker-rank based PM test- which was silly considering - the test was not mentioned later at all in interview process. Q. Best practices
