Process was relatively smooth and of typical length for the Bay Area (~5-6 weeks from submission to onsite). Phone screen with HR, phone interview with hiring manager, onsite for 4 interviews back-to-back + excel test. For the onsite, questions were very fair, nothing out of the ordinary and no brain teasers. Many performance based questions regarding your work history. Included many thought-process / case-type / hypothetical scenario questions, from determining GTM strategy, pricing, quick math, how to fix ABC business or product given XYZ info / numbers. Excel test (I had about 40 mins) did not include VBA, but tests your knowledge of many functions and formulas in Excel. If you're comfortable manipulating data sets and pulling from them, the test shouldn't be strenuous. However, be wary of the laptop they provide. My Excel workbook lagged significantly (half-second lag moving between each and every cell) which really makes you worry about timing and accuracy. Unfortunately, I ultimately did not receive an offer. Also, I came from a different background re: industry and experience.

Phone interviews were regular questions such as your story, why tech, why Salesforce, rate your Excel skills, top accomplishments, what are you looking for in a manager / your career, a time you failed, what kind of role do you want, presentation abilities to senior mgmt, etc.
Onsite questions, refer to summary above.

Several different stages. Started with a culture interview with the hiring mgr, then did a take home quantitative task and had to make up a few slides and present them to a group, then a final chat with another senior person.

The interview process with Salesforce was great. Each person I spoke with was genuine in their responses to my questions. As someone who has been through various interview processes, Salesforce has by far one of the most streamlined and thought out programs.

The interview process got off to a great start. I had a really positive chat with the manager, and they wasted no time in sending over a Case Study for me to tackle. When I mentioned I needed to speed things up due to a prior commitment, they were accommodating, which seemed like a good sign.
I hustled to get the case study done in record time so I could meet the interview deadline. But then, unexpectedly, they decided I wasn't eligible for sponsorship and called off the interview.
I get it, rules are rules. But it felt like they didn't give me a chance to explain my visa situation and offer a solution. I'd even spoken to immigration lawyers who said I was good to go.
I understand where they're coming from, but a bit of flexibility would've been appreciated, especially after putting in all that effort. It would've shown they respected my time and dedication.
