I was contacted by a recruiter for the position & set up a phone screen. That went well & immediately an on-site was scheduled. Day of on-site comes : Salesforce is such an awesome company who is doing amazing things to make the world a better place. I have 4, 30 min interview sessions w/ different people in the department. The interviews were supposed to be 30 min a piece; I was caught off guard when the hiring manager joined an earlier time slot and stated when they walked in “I wanted to make sure to come see you for a few minutes”. The hiring manager was on their phone back and forth while interacting in the interview and I was thinking this is not a good look. The hiring manager then left the interview after 15 min and said they have to run and for me to email if I have any questions. At this point I’m thinking there’s no way I got this job. I feel I was brought in to fill a quota so that this team could proceed with the individual they wanted in the 1st place. I put a lot of time and energy into my preparation and would have appreciated 30 min of undivided attention from the hiring manager ... just left me a bit disappointed and left a bad taste in my mouth about the interview process at Salesforce. I want to add that the recruiter who handled my interview process was outstanding. She made time to follow up with me (phone call) about not getting the position and gave me positive reinforcement to keep my eyes on other positions that I was interested in. My faith in salesforce as a potential future employer was restored in large part due to her.
