Very scripted early on by recruiters and it was relatively easy to make the in-person round. When I came in for the final round interview I was asked about my professional experience. I listed my accomplishments within my previous sales role and they looked at me with what I can only describe as weird eyes. The room was uncomfortable to be in, as it appeared they had already made a decision on me before I walked in the door. They asked the question “What is one of your short term goals after becoming an SDR here?” I replied with my intentions of becoming an Account Executive. The response was a long pause and one of the interviewers replies awkwardly “Here?” ...I can go on and on about how cringeworthy this organization is/has become. Upper management is resting on the laurels of their predecessors and the Salesforce name. Hindsight is 20/20 and this was a big waste of time. I highly suggest changes be made to the sales team/hiring process. From former to current employees I met with after the fact - the term they used was that I “dodged a bullet”. If you want to grow in an organization, look elsewhere. If you’d like to become one of the sheep, here’s your herd. To be clear, I have no qualms with SF products and I love the organization/what Salesforce stands for, but their hiring team was the worst interview experience I’ve had in my career. —Great snack selection though! Salesforce quickly turned from my “dream job” to my happiest rejection email.

The interview process included a 30 - minute phone screen with HR, a 1 - hour interview with the hiring manager focusing on sales experience and CRM knowledge, and a final role - play exercise simulating a cold call to a prospect.
