Contacted by recruiter and had a brief screening call about open roles, what role I was interested in and time frame for hiring. Recruiter shared company benefits and asked why I was interested in Sephora. Moved me forward to a phone interview with them about a week later. Phone interview with recruiter went over some info on the DM, and training info and then a bunch of behavioral questions that were being typed into a form. At end of interview was told next steps and would be in contact. The recruiter was friendly and pleasant, but I definitely felt like I was jumping through hoops, if you are not a fan of phone interviews/ recruiter screening and would prefer to connect with the DM I would suggest going that route.Received a decline email, I did not move forward to speak with the actual hiring manager despite my experience and enthusiasm for the role. Should prepare an elevator pitch and all that, as I do not feel like I was able to convey my abilities and experience to their satisfaction. While I recognize not everyone moves forward, overall I was disappointed with the experience, and will not be pursuing any future openings despite the from letter encouraging me to do so. Experiential retail is about relationship building and that should apply to the recruiting process; the end of the process felt pretty cold and distant.

Échange de 15-30min par téléphone en demandant les prétentions salariales, le préavis…
Après 2 reports d’entretien physique, je suis enfin « reçu » à une rencontre, pas une rencontre mais plutôt une étude de cas où un cas pratique de 1h nous est présenté avec plusieurs parties (management humain, analyse SWOT + plan d’action, et analyse de résultat), et une présentation du cas avec question de 45-60min.
0 question sur notre parcours, 0 question sur notre motivation, 0 question sur notre personnalité, 0 question sur nos compétences.
Un appel pour nous faire un feed-back et une réponse, that’s it !
Certainement le process de recrutement le moins humanisé de toute ma vie !

The field talent partner was late to the interview and clearly did not review my resume or experience with the line of questioning for a Store Manager role. She did not ask relevant questions about my most recent experience, with over 14 years experience in luxury it was quite apparent she was ill prepared for the interview. She then followed up for a role I did not apply for (Assistant Manager) saying they were moving forward with other candidates. Unorganized to say the least.
