I applied for the role of Campaign Executive, but was offered another role. It made sense as I had more work experience for the recommended role. However, when I applied the recommend role the next day, I received a email reply stating that there are too many applicants. I'm confused as to why the HR person recommended a job which is already oversubscribed. Almost all of my friends who applied for Shopee were offered a different role to the one they applied for. None of them got into a face-to-face interview.

The first round interview was conducted by the HR department. It was simple, straightforward, and conversational, with HR focusing primarily on my background, previous experience, expected responsibilities, and overall fit for the role.
