Toronto. 4 interviews. All of them went well, and (my perception, anyway) is that I checked all the boxes they were looking for. The interview process let me meet some interesting people and get a good feel for the culture and how they do things. People seemed very cool and probably would have been good to work with had I gotten an offer.
The part that slightly angered me: After FOUR interviews, I had to follow up twice after being told I would be contacted with a Yes or No answer within a week. They ended up hiring internally, which is fine if that works best for your organization, but why would you waste everybody's time with FOUR interviews when you had a qualified internal candidate all along? I ended up getting a better offer elsewhere about 2 weeks later though, so a fortunate turn of events I suppose.

Mostly about myself, interests, goals in the first interview; typical first interview fare. Second interview was about my experience with content marketing, tools I knew, analytics and metrics skills and experience, etc. Mostly related to the specific job; again, typical stuff

Unfortunately a recruiter based out of the Netherlands was very disrespectful.
When I shared about wanting to explore the opportunity and see if there is a fit with the team, the recruiter responded with "with regards to fit, that is our job to decide not yours." That was a very unnecessary comment. It goes without saying that the decision to move forward with a candidate lies with the company, but an interview is also a two-way conversation for a candidate to also learn about the company and role.
When it was time for me to ask questions, I asked if the hiring manager was looking out for a specific type of candidate so I could understand what kind of person would succeed in the team. The response: "Everything is written in the job description." The point of letting candidates ask questions is to learn more about the role beyond the job description, no?
The lack of basic respect left such a bad impression, please do better.
Apply, recruiter, hiring manager, team member, and maybe one more senior individual depending on the level of the role. It can get a bit tedious but I felt they were pretty quick through the process and communicated well in terms of progression and next steps.
the interview process was good and they did not take a long time to answer back, there were 3 interviews and the last one is the hardest but if you prepare for it it will be okay.
