      I had a phone screening call, and it was a strange experience. I applied a month prior to being reached out to for the interview. The call that I had was for a role completely different from the one I applied for. I applied for a Sr. AE role, and the conversation seemed like an Account Manager role with the Salary/OTE split and it being focused on existing business. The role I applied for was tailored for acquiring new business. It was a standard call, but the recruiter didn't even email me personally about the role, rather I received an email from a noreply address that they wouldn't be moving forward. The recruiter also couldn't answer standard questions like what the onboarding process would look like for a new hire.

      A pretty normal interview process. Aptitude test, meet various members of the team, panel presentation however then complete radio silence. There was a change in hiring manager half way through the process, however throughout there was always continuous engagement with the internal recruiter. After a successful panel, I was set up to speak to the new hiring manager (I felt this was the potential last stage). I felt the call went well and they said that the recruiter would be in touch after the weekend to discuss next steps.......then nothing. Followed up both with the recruiter and hiring manager/director but nothing back.....completely ignored. It takes a lot of time and resource to put together a presentation for a panel (along with the previous 3 rounds), so it feels pretty disrespectful to get ignored. If you've decided to go in another direction, that's ok, just have the professionalism to communicate this back rather than ghost someone that has put hours into the process

      5 step interview process which including an online personality/IQ style quiz. Screener interview with a recruiter to begin. The recruiter I dealt with actually was quite helpful in comparison to a few others I had dealt with from other companies over the past few months. I would recommend really showing the recruiter you know the company. I mentioned that I had reviewed some of their quarterly reports and knew of the company for many years. Don't go in blind, they can become your 'champion' so to speak. After the quiz, I did a panel interview with two sales managers for an hour. Relatively straight forward sales interview. Be prepared to do a mock intro call for a dummy company they will prep you with. They also really like answers that pull on specific examples or experiences from previous roles vs generic info. Next was the life story interview. Mine was quite short in comparison to some others I've read up on. Asked a few questions, seemed happy with my responses and when I prompted them if they had more for me they basically told me they really liked my responses and thought I would be a good fit. This interview is a bit more casual but they will ask you about past sales experience etc. Final interview was with another sales manager who is going to be my manager in the role, so presume you are talking to your future boss if you make this stage. He was pleasant but drilled down quite a bit into some questions and my responses. Be prepared to be tested a bit here, but it wasn't anything a seasoned sales person couldn't handle. After that received a verbal offer and then written offer. Entire process took around a month. The recruiter was good at communicating with me and answering questions through the process. No complaints and excited to start the new role.
