I interviewed right after their acquisition of Salesforce. My recruiter call went well. I shared with them my current salary, and mentioned I would be open to negotiate as I knew I was being paid well (especially for a smaller company). They canceled the hiring manager interview with VERY little notice, as they felt they "could not meet my salary expectations". This was very disappointing, because I appreciate slacks products, and the remote options they mentioned for the role and would have accepted an offer lower than my current (like i had mentioned)
Phone call with a recruiter followed by a phone call with the hiring manager. The invites they sent included teleconferencing links which I was instructed to ignore and wait for a call at the phone number I provided.
Domande di colloquio [1]
Domanda 1
The hiring manager presented a scenario where the product was in a state of degraded performance and asked a broad question on how I would go about creating a program around improving performance.

Even though I didn't get an offer in the end, I couldn't love this company more. Interview rounds are pretty standard at what you’ll find at other technology driven companies:
1. Recruiter phone screen
2. 45min hiring manager interview
3. Take home assignment
4. "Onsite" panel consisting of 4 interviews (3 behavioral/situational, 1 system design) which are zoom calls at the moment due to COVID
5. Offer / No Offer
Never once did I have to follow up with the recruiter for next steps, she was exceptionally prompt with getting me feedback and scheduling the next round - I made it through all of the rounds and a decision in 4 weeks from applying. Each one of my interviewers were engaged, exceptionally smart in their craft, and I could tell that they wanted me to succeed. I thought the interview process as a whole was fair, fun and challenging - what more could you ask for?
My only critique is that fortunately or unfortunately, Slack is doing a ton of hiring right now and several of the interviewers had me clarify which role I was interviewing for and/or my past experience (that could have easily been found if they looked at my resume) because they're "doing a ton of interviewing right now". I totally get it and can empathize with how candidates might blend together in your head, especially if you're interviewing for multiple roles at a time, but I wish they had taken the 2 seconds to check that out before the calls so I didn't feel so un-unique.
