The company was in restructuring. So it happened that that the interview process stopped. Four rounds of interviews. Questions were about multi threading, inheritance, diamond problem, system design, and many other topics regarding designing programs

The whole process took almost a month with a very late reply from them taking more than 10 days after the last interview. Process consisted of 1 HR call (very friendly), 1 Technical call (1hr) with small coding questions, 1 coding challenge (home assignment), Review of the assignment with some small live coding and general questions and last a management interview with VP of Engineering and PM. The technical part was fun and the guy leading it was really nice. Although I reached to the last management interview I didn't get an offer with some generic reply from them that I wasn't at Staff level as they define Staff, without unfortunately explaining further. What I realized during the management interview was that they have already made the decision and keeping me like a backup. I really didn't like that and I feel that I really wasted my time. Also it was not at all professional by them to keep me wait that long after the last interview. What I would suggest is to not waste time with the process as they don't take seriously the time of the candidates. Good thing is that this behavior reveals serious flaws of management which is really impossible to not come across during work.
