You would have hoped this would be a great learning experience, but beside not getting the role, I did not even get feedback.
The only thing I got was:
At this stage Spotify is not able to provide any further details. But trust us only the very best candidates make it to that stage.
This was the most humiliating experience. I use to have a great idea and inspiring vues about Spotify but their hiring process was so disappointing that I actually closed everything I had related to Spotify.

Considering my past it was not appropriate. A hiring framework not allowing unusual profiles

It's long and sometimes it's hard to schedule so many interviews while also performing on a full time job, but there was great visibility and also flexibility throughout the process. The team is pretty friendly and easy to talk to, although still very determined and focused on their questions.

The interview process was fast and very engaging, I met with all different departments involved with my position and had very interesting conversations with all of them. The whole process lasted about a month and I received and offer and a great benefits package 5-7 days after my last interview

Colloquio
First of all I must say, one the best recruitment process I had in my life! Excellency was shown in every step of the way, from every recruiter to every designer. I felt super confortable the entire process.
How it all started:
1st : I send over my portfolio and resume on the company site.
2nd: I was reached out by the recruiter and she set up a meeting. It was a quick chat , we talked about my experience and what the role I'm applying for was about. (20 min)
3rd: Set-up a meeting with the Hiring Manager ( Product Design Lead) and I was challenged to prepare a portfolio review. (45min)
4th: Set-up an virtual on-site with the team (Designers, product managers, tech leads). 5 interviews in the same day:
- 1 portfolio review ( 1 hour)
- 1 whiteboard challenge ( 2 hours)
- 1 meet with Designer ( 30 min )
- 1 meet with Tech lead ( 30 min)
5th: Set-up a meeting with the Director of the product
6th: Offer meeting with the recruiter
