Recruiter stage was fine. The recruiter was friendly and quickly moved me on to the second round. In the second round I interviewed with an engineer and was asked to work through an easy/moderate difficulty algorithm question. I got the simple O(N^2) solution fairly quickly and then reduced it to O(N) time and space complexity when he asked. The conversation seemed to go well and he implied that I would probably be moving on to the next round. Days pass and I reach out to the recruiter because I haven't heard anything and she informs me that I won't be moving on and I should wait "a few months" before applying to other roles. I reached out to the engineer who interviewed me for feedback. He said he liked me and that he indicated I should move on to the next round. Despite that they just decided that I wasn't a good fit for any current roles after having me complete the first two rounds of the interview process. It's a very odd and frustrating experience.
