Recruiter sent me an email welcoming me to the interview process, and at the same time sent two calendar invites for interviews without even asking me for availability. I definitely was not available for the first interview but changed my schedule. The first interview was with the recruiter, and shockingly was within a few hours of when he had sent the email. The recruiter never showed up: ghosted on the interview he had set up himself, and then never responded to apologize or anything. He later ghosted again the same way: requested a meeting, put a meeting on my calendar, never showed up to his own meeting, and never responded to my questioning emails. All a bad sign. Made it through to the last phase of the interview process, and I receive an interview schedule request email asking me to choose to complete several interviews at either 1am or 2:30am the next week. I thought it was a mistake. No. After 7 interviews and a 10 week interview process, at the offer stage the company closes the role for budgetary reasons. Nobody gets hired. In the end, I was relieved it was over. Lots of negative energy during the interview process, I was angry at the lack of respect for my time, and the lack of professionalism was stunning.

Applied online and a recruiter reached out almost a month later for a screener. After that, had an interview with the HM. I was told I would advance to the next round. A few weeks later they notified me that department changes were happening but I was still in consideration and they would follow up in a few weeks. I kept checking in every 3-4 weeks but still had no update. It wasn't until June when I requested an update for the umpteenth time when the recruiter said the job was no longer available. A candidate shouldn't have to continuously follow up only to find out the position no longer exists!
