Colloquio
The first step in the process was with a recruiter and they reached out fairly quickly after I submitted my application. They were curious about my background and experience and primarily concerned with me potentially being overqualified for the role. I acknowledged that and gave a reasonable answer. Thought it went great, they sent my details to the hiring manager, but then I got an automatic rejection email over the weekend. I followed up with the recruiter about getting feedback from the team, as they mentioned in the call that I could reach out whenever about anything, and yet my follow up was ignored. Hiring manager doesn’t seem to have a timeline on when they’d like to hire, so I’m sure they’ll just end up reposting the job over and over again online.

Colloquio
4 step interview process:
- Hiring manager call
- Interview with Director of Product Design
- Portfolio review with product design team
- Behavioral interview with Product Manager
The process was lengthy, but was communicated clearly at the start from the hiring manager. Response time post each interview was also quite quick, 1-3 days on average. A good team is you get to meet the whole team, so you can get a sense of the work culture/vibe.

Colloquio
- Screening Call with HR
- Phone Interview with Creative Director
- Three (30min) interviews in one day
No design exercise or white boarding, they did want to do a portfolio review . They kept saying they value and are looking for people with different backgrounds but when I got rejected the feedback did not display that. I asked everyone that interviewed me if they were hesitant about my career background and they led me to believe it wasn't a problem but that's exactly why I got rejected.
In the end, they don't value transferable skills but only years of experience within that respective position.
