      I interviewed for a Client Success Manager role at Strider in Q1 2026 in the UK. Overall, I had a very positive experience with the interview process. From the outset, everyone I spoke with was professional, respectful, and genuinely pleasant to engage with. The process consisted of an initial screening interview with HR, followed by three online interviews with members of the team, and a final in person stage at the office, where two additional persons joined remotely. Each stage felt more like a friendly and conversational discussion rather than a high pressure interview. There were no particularly tricky or unexpected questions, and I appreciated the approachable tone throughout. Some questions around location history felt more aligned with background screening than assessing suitability for the role, but that was fine. One downside was the lack of compensation transparency. The job description mentioned the salary as “competitive,” but the figure discussed was below what I would consider competitive for this type of role in the UK and significantly lower than my previous salary. Although I did not receive an offer, I did receive general feedback ( that my communication and leadership style were not aligned with the role), which I appreciated. Overall, I enjoyed the well organised process and came away with a positive impression of the team and company culture.

      The process took 2 months. First, I had a call with the HR manager. Lovely conversation. Moved on to hiring manager interview which was decent. There were a couple of questions that were a little difficult to answer. However, the hiring process was not organized. There was no mention of a panel interview until a week after the interview concluded with the hiring manager. Then I had to complete a questionnaire to help guide the panel members to ask questions, but it was clear that they didnt use those questions in the interview and that they were looking for the right fit, versus someone that is qualified. I got asked 9 questions when they made it clear it would be 6, so I assumed they were very interested. I could have interpreted that wrong and that's ok. However, I was told to call the hiring manager a few days after the interview who told me I wasnt extended an offer. A couple of times during this process, individuals implied that the HR manager was not good at their job even though the HR manager gave me no reason to believe that. It was clear that the company has growing pains and is still figuring things out. I just dont like feeling as though I was a guinea pig and test case for their interviews. An email would have more than sufficed or a call directly to me rather than being asked to call them to hear this news. We are adults and can accept bad news and move on. Maybe I dodged a bullet. The company does amazing work so I know whoever gets this position will enjoy it.
