      Colloquio per Community Manager

      Candidatura

Ho presentato la mia candidatura online. La procedura ha richiesto 5 mesi. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso The League (San Francisco, CA) nel mese di giu 2016

      Colloquio

I went through multiple rounds of interviews for over 4 months - and didn't even ever get an email stating that I was not offered the position. I applied for the community manager role had two phone interviews, did two projects (essentially free work - twice because I did the project then after no communication for over two weeks they decided they wanted me to do something different), and had two in-person interviews. Communication was lacking, every email, call and interview ended with "we will let you know in about a week" with me having to extensively follow up over and over again to get some "we are still deciding" about every three weeks. I also felt very judged during the entire process. As someone who actually found their significant other on a dating app - I thought this would be a perk as I can see that it actually works. Through the whole interview, they made it seem like it was a problem that I was in a relationship and not into the dating scene. I think you can work for a dating app - without actually dating at that time.

      Domanda 1

We like to send out timely and quirky notifications from the app to encourage people to open and swipe. Come up with three notifications that would be relevant right now in San Francisco.

      Colloquio

The interview process was quick and but took a lot of hours of personal time - and at the end I had to beg for a response. I had multiple phone interviews, had to do multiple test projects (because they decided to change the test project after I had already done it), had me come in for an in-person interview and I then had to follow up multiple times to find out I was not hired.

A variety of test questions for concierge, support, and social media posting.

      Colloquio

I started applying for jobs about a month before my college graduation. After finding an ideal job at The League I quickly applied. I informed them that I would not be available to start until the summer and they seemed ok (turns out they were so unorganized it didn't matter). I initially had my first phone interview about a week after applying. They seemed interested and told me to contact them again after I returned from school. After returning they had me do another phone interview, and once they liked what they heard they had me do some sample questions/scenarios. To be completely honest, after completing them I felt like they were trying to get free work out of people by providing social media ideas and responses to customer service questions. I submitted my questions and never heard anything for two weeks. Eventually after multiple emails they told me they had decided to rewrite what questions they were asking and I needed to do them again. I also was given access to the app to test it out. It is a dating app, which I completely understand, but forcing me to interact with men looking for relationships when I am already in one made me feel extremely uncomfortable. I felt like if I wasn't going to be actively using the app they didn't really want to hire me. After submitting those it was almost a month before I received a call for an in-person interview. The interview process was intense. I was there for almost 2 hours having to come up with ideas and answers to detailed questions on the spot. The CEO made it very clear that she expected you to be completely dedicated to your job, and there was very little work life balance. After my in person interview I was told I would hear back in a week....nothing. Emailed a few days after that...nothing...emailed a week and a half after that....nothing. A month after I was initially supposed to hear I finally received an email saying they would make a decision by the end of the week. At the end of that week I still had heard nothing. It took another 3 weeks and multiple check up emails to find out that they had picked another candidate (which is fine, but don't string people along once you have made your final decision).

What are 3 push notifications I would write for the SF area? (5 minutes - limited character count - include emojis)
