The best way I could describe the interview process is uncomfortable and messy. I had interviewed with the recruiter, hiring manager, HR lead, and a peer for this role. I completed the whole recruitment loop for the role and the only thing I could really take away from the position is that there would be no work-life balance and "there is no process around anything".
The interviewers had a difficult time telling my why Tiktok was a good place to work and would frequently build in that they take a lot of midnight calls with China. There wasn't much information on what the plan was for this person from a 30-60-90 day perspective and they didn't share information about how the team was structured (all they could say is that it was flat). It felt like they used the "interview" as a mechanism to extract compensation data from HR professionals. One interviewer asked me many times how much my current company paid people in tech/product/BI roles, which seemed to be a little off topic.
Based off my many interviews with the company, I would say run for the hills! I can't see any credible/seasoned HR professional wanting to stay in an organization that is so clearly misaligned,
