After applying for the role, the recruiter messaged me within 24 hours. They said they would like to do a phone screening, and asked me to schedule a meeting with them through Calendly. I did so, received email confirmation from Calendly, and followed up with the recruiter about the date. They did not respond to my confirmation message, did not show up for the scheduled meeting, and never reached out afterwards. Unfortunately, this is the second time I have had this experience with TransPerfect, and it has been with the same recruiter both times. The first time, which was a few years prior, I even rescheduled our meeting at their request, and they ghosted me both the day of and for all follow up messages. While I understand there are many applicants and the recruiter may not be able to contact all of them, I believe if you have scheduled a call or an interview you should at least follow up to explain why it has been cancelled. I have found these experiences to be extremely unprofessional, and am disappointed with how the TransPerfect recruiter treated me as a candidate.
