Ho presentato la mia candidatura online. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso Twilio (New York, NY)
Colloquio
I applied online and was quickly contacted by a Coordinator, requesting to schedule a phone screen with one of their current Sourcers.
I was unimpressed with my conversation with the Sourcer. He seemed bored to be talking to me, and clearly didn't do any research on my background. I was given a very rehearsed pitch about Twilio, and was being talked at, and not to.
I understand Sourcers are pressed for time, but great sourcing is done by connecting with your candidates and digging deep. I might not have been what they were looking for, but I am concerned they are missing out on great candidates, by blasting through phone screens.
The feeling was clearly mutual, as I received a TBNT email (Thanks, but no thanks) a few days later.

The questions weren't difficult. They were open ended, which is fine, but the Sourcer needed to be more engaged.

Messy and rushed interview process. Sourcer reached out to me to chat and set up an initial call and invited me to the Phone Screen. The phone interviewer was rushed, had no questions prepared, and was clueless the entire call. Received little to no follow up, and no formal updates regarding candidacy.
I've interviewed with Google, Twitter, Bain, and more and this was hands down the worst recruiting experience.
The recruiting org and recruiters I spoke with all seemed frustrated with their jobs.
