A 30-minute call with Recruiter, a 30-minute call with the hiring manager, and 2 1-hour-long coding rounds ....and then ghosted no response from recruiter or manager...very un-professional, would not suggest going back

Odd process. Got a cold invitation via text message to a video screener more than a month after I'd applied to the job. With all the job scams floating around, I had to do some research to make sure it was legit. The recruiter was nice enough, but the job had been posted as remote and was now three days in office, and had been posted with a salary range about $50k higher than the recruiter said they could do. Recruiter offered to speak with the hiring manager to see "what was possible" but I never heard back, which is probably fair as I didn't have much interest either at that point. Rather strange process overall.

I had lot of interviews in my career, but this interview was very disappointing. Throughout the interview, the approach felt more like an exercise in elimination rather than an effort to genuinely assess a candidate’s skills and potential fit. The tone of the discussion, the nature of the questions, and the overall engagement from the interviewers gave the impression that the objective was not to find the right candidate, but rather to disqualify them.
While I understand that companies seek the best fit for their roles, a more engaging and conversational approach could lead to a better experience for candidates and a more effective evaluation for your team. Clarity in expectations and a two-way discussion can help both sides determine mutual fit more effectively.
