I phone screened for a Recruiter role at Uber. The recruiter was brusque and asked questions only about a tiny part of my job which falls outside of my primary responsibilities, leading me to believe she was actually interviewing me for another position entirely. When I tried to clarify, I could sense she was irritated, as if I must be the one unprepared or confused. Yikes.
She gave me no information on the company or the role other than what I asked her specifically. No effort was given to sell me at all. I understand that phone screens are monotonous and that rhapsodizing about Uber and the role is hardly thrilling the 57th time, but I'll risk sounding like a pretentious know-it-all in saying that making candidates excited about your company and the role IS part of your job.
Judging a whole company and role by just one phone screen is maybe petty and premature in most cases, but I don't think I can learn much from a team that treats candidates at the top of the pipeline as expendable.
You will complete a total of 5 rounds of interviews and sometimes a case study. The first round is the initial screen done by a fellow recruiter, then a hiring manager screen then if successful you will go into the final interviews which are 3 competency based.

It was not easy at all. Starting from Recruiter 1on 1 and then Recruiting Manager(2nd step) and then Director. After you passed 1:1 with everyone, you will do presentation. not easy.

The people that I was in contact with was super friendly and professional but I will definitely improve the feedback method after being on a final stage. An email template is ok for a candidate on an early stage of the process.
