One of the most ridiculous interview experiences I've ever had. First stage was a phone interview, which was ok. The fun began when they sent me a technical test on Apache Spark, which:
- looked like a compilation of exercises copied from some Udemy courses (I had done these in the past :))
- was asking about outdated stuff
- was over-sized, taking too much time too do
- from some metadata in the test, I could see that they had never done it themselves
In a few cheeky comments I pointed those issues in my solutions.
Now comes the best part... They admitted that they got the test from some other company, praised my great solutions, and ... offered me to do a new test, that they prepared as a result of my submission. As if I were an idiot, to spent more of my time to validate a test which would next be used to recruit other candidates.
When I declined to do the new test, they went quiet. Pathetic. If you have respect for yourself, avoid these guys.
