Manager discussed for 20 minutes how difficult he is to work for. He stated the following: He has a no excuses policy, either the work is done, or you have failed, nothing in between. If you fail, he will fire you if you work for him, if you work for someone else he will put in a bad review to stop you from getting a bonus. He does not want to hear about personal issues or emergencies, if you have an issue you should "plan ahead" and have someone cover for you. Once you walk in the door you do not have a name, he considers you to be just employee 1 or employee 2, etc. Only thing that matters to him is that the work is done so that he doesn't have to explain to his manager that there is a problem.

Call with recruiter, speak with hiring manager, take home assessment, than 1.5 hour panel interview.
I declined to proceed with the interview process. They wanted me to come into the office 3 days a week, jump through multiple hoops to have a shot at working with them, OH and they also wanted me to take $20k USD pay cut.
