Colloquio
A colleague referred me to an internal Twitter recruiter for the role. We scheduled a screening interview to occur the following week. The screening interview was rescheduled two times, but did eventually take place around a week after our initial introduction.
The interview went well and the recruiter was very personable. (S)he asked typical interview questions and gave background on the company, role, pay, and next steps in the process. The recruiter stated that during his/her meeting with the hiring manager the following week, (s)he would recommend that I move on to the next stage which would be an interview with the hiring manager.
I did not hear back from the recruiter the following week. I followed up twice at one week intervals via e-mail and received no response.
I am a professional who took time out of my work day to interview with Twitter. I would have appreciated a response to my e-mails regardless of whether Twitter wanted to move forward or was placing me on hold. I am not a fan of ghosting in my personal life and it is absolutely unappreciated and unwelcome in my professional life.
Everyone I met with was very engaging to
speak with. However the interview process was overly intensive and a significant time commitment. I interviewed with 12 people over the course of the 5 week interview process and also did a 7 page assignment. I appreciate holding a high bar and making sure there is a right fit, however the amount of time required to go through the process was draining, especially when working a busy job and having work from home family responsibilities.

Domanda 1
Very typical HR questions, performance management, working with coes, etc.

Colloquio
1. Phone screen after recruiter reached out via LinkedIn (30min). This was very standard. They explained the role & when I expressed interest outlined the entire interview process.
2. Phone screen with hiring manager (30min). Deep dive into my business experience. Highly competent and business savvy HR leader.
3. Written take-home assignment. Asked 6 HR-related questions/scenarios and expected to write out all answers within 1-1.5 pages. This was tricky because of the word limit but a great exercise to get to know that the culture of brevity permeates even their interview process
4. On-Site interview with 9 people from both the HR function and the client group. The interviewers were paired together. Each interview is 30 minutes and you get a break in the middle. Overall tiring because you’re there for a while but a great crash course in what the business is like.
Overall, it wasn’t a culture fit and I was looking for a different type of opportunity. I’d consider twitter in the future, though!
