The phone interview is through the Skype and it's a video chat, they first asked some questions about your projects on resume, why Yelp, and then asked a question when someone reports opening the webpage of Yelp takes too long, what may cause these situations and how can you deal with it.

The coding challenge is to give you a list of the restaurants opening time, and you are asked to merge them if they have overlap, then write some test cases. It's basically the merge interval problem from the leetcode.

Leetcode style interview online via link, then a 1 on 1 technical interview with a lead developer also online where you can ask questions about the role and working at yelp, later more in depth technical tests and finally references and psicological tests.

Around 3 different rounds with a mix of behavioural and technical. Last round features on-site which lasts the whole day, where there are 2 dsa rounds, 1 system design round and 1 recruiter round to end the day.
