HR sent an email to schedule for the first interview. The first interview was with a data scientist from the company. The interview was easy. He asked questions about machine learning and algorithms and data structures. However, there is one big issue. The role I applied required skills in both machine learning and more importantly from operations research. Yet, I was not asked any questions related to operations research. In fact, the interview even said that he has never heard of the term and did not know what it meant. But he was nice and help me along the way. He said that the review process may take a bit longer than usual due to holidays and he was right. But I never received any update. After some time, I have reached out the same person that contacted me from the HR and she said the same thing and told me that I would receive the feedback by the end of the week but after 3 weeks. I have not received any feedback. Finally I have reached out to the hiring manager and he did not respond. So do not interview for zalando. It is just a waste of time. They do not ask relevant questions and never respond. Even if they said so.
