Vantaggi

The pay rate for hourly staff is decent. The assignments are interesting.

Svantaggi

As soon as they are done recruiting you, that is basically the last support you will ever get from them. The support staff will take weeks to reply to emails, nobody answers at the call center, the chat app on the employee portal just says "connecting to agent" for hours but never actually connects. When you finally do get a hold of a human, they are either baseline incompetent and completely unable to answer the simplest questions - or they answer, but the answer contradicts either the policy or the other human you finally got to answer. The benefits are the worst I have ever seen at any company or agency I have ever worked for - I actually pay for my own health insurance because what they offer is so crap, and still expensive, so it was worth it to me to pay a little extra for better coverage. I might as well not have even paid for the dental coverage they provide. The "sick pay" they were so proud of providing is just what is legally required by my state, they aren't really giving us anything they aren't forced to give us. No paid time off / vacation time. They - in theory - have holiday pay, but in reality it is so difficult to qualify for said holiday pay that I have never actually gotten it - nor has anyone I work with - even though I worked Thanksgiving and Christmas and will work New Years, I still haven't "qualified" for Holiday Pay and will only make my base rate for those days. No match on the 401k. No access to trainings or continuing education. No feedback / review process, I have been on assignment for 9 months and have never received any information or insight in to how I am doing, if my assignment has been extended (I'm just planning to show up to work next week and see...?), what the next steps are, etc. I have no mechanism for providing feedback on the people I work with on my assignment (other teammates from other agencies, the client partners i work with, the on-site client manager I "report" to, etc). They changed their benefits enrollment period without giving us sufficient notice, so even if you had wanted to enroll they made that as difficult as possible. They also went through a phase where they just stopped paying me on time, and tried to justify it by saying the policy had changed from payday on wednesday to payday on friday, but if that was true - then the change was not communicated in advance.

Vantaggi

Onboarding for new hires was smooth

Svantaggi

My experience with Adecco Staffing Agency reflects a significant disconnect between the expectations set during onboarding and the reality of assignment execution. There appears to be a consistent misalignment between candidate skill sets and the roles they are placed into, which not only undermines performance but also creates unnecessary inefficiencies for both the employee and the client organization. Assignments are often presented without full transparency regarding scope, schedule, or operational requirements, resulting in frequent adjustments that disrupt workflow continuity and personal planning. Additionally, there is a notable deficiency in accurate and timely reporting. Communication regarding assignment details, schedule changes, and performance expectations lacks consistency and clarity. This creates ambiguity in accountability and limits the employee’s ability to effectively manage deliverables. From a process standpoint, this reflects weak coordination and insufficient control mechanisms within their staffing and reporting systems. Most concerning is the apparent lack of advocacy for the employee. A staffing agency should function as an intermediary that ensures alignment between employer needs and employee capabilities while also safeguarding fair treatment and clear communication. In this case, there is a perception that employee concerns—particularly those related to schedule changes, workload expectations, and workplace conditions—are not adequately addressed or escalated. This ultimately results in a work environment that feels transactional rather than supportive, with limited consideration for employee well-being or long-term success.
