Short-term focus means that the code quality is very low, and oncall is a huge overhead since you're trying to deal with an ever-increasing number of bugs and defects. - Pay cap - Base salary gets capped at $160K. And if you're promoted / perform above expectations, incentives only come in during the following year, not the same year.
