Vantaggi
+ The benefits this organization has to offer are pretty top notch. 401k match, stock options, vitality, etc. + Compensation can be fantastic, but it is rarely consistent. You could make $20K+ in commission one month, and then struggle to hit quota the next due to reversals + Products are very innovative, and this company will take your knowledge of the real estate game to the next level
Svantaggi
Where do I even start. No matter how long you have been with this company or how successful you are, there is zero job security with this company. The organization is a chaotic mess, HR is nonexistent, and massive teams of 100+ employees have been laid off with no notice simply because the CEO is having a bad day or doesn't like a particular leader in the division. While the company advertises career growth, it is nonexistent. Unless you are a favorite of the CEO, expect the firm to hire externally for senior roles and RD positions in sales. It is near impossible to move up beyond more than a Sales Rep. This company expects you to complete the tasks that would normally be done by 3 different teams in other companies. You are responsible for creating lists for prospecting, outreach, booking demonstrations, and then training the clients post-sale. Further, if a client cancels for any reason, it will affect your commission. It doesn't matter if the client signed up ten years ago with a different rep. Sales ops and collections are non-existent. You are literally left for dead. Save yourself a beat and don't work for this company. Sure, top performers can make money, but it will take you time to get in a position where you can succeed unless you have deep pre-existing CRE knowledge. You'll likely be stuck with a bad territory and unrealistic quotas/metrics to hit. Everything is tracked at this company. Every call, every click made on your laptop, even sensors above the desk to tell how much time you are spending on your desk. It's literally insane. When you are WFH for your 1 allotted day a week, make sure you're active the entire day. When push comes to shove, your job is not safe at this company. The reputation this company has established is not unwarranted. The other reviews are true. Sure, you can make a buck at CoStar, but the cost to do so is simply not worth it.
