Vantaggi

Good training, good communication especially for a remote position, flexible, great management

Svantaggi

Scheduling and staffing effectively could be challenging due to unpredictable nature of emergency response, which caused both understaffed shifts and overstaffed shifts. In addition, phone-based customer service can be emotionally challenging - customers in stressful situations can often be difficult to deal with.

Hearing that the training, communication, and management stood out, especially in a remote setting, is really meaningful. Thank you for sharing! As you mentioned, the nature of emergency response is inherently unpredictable. Our phone-based support in high stress situations can be central to defining the experience for travelers, and the people who handle it are a big part of that. We’re proud of the team you were part of and hope the skills you built here continue to serve you well.

Vantaggi

- the people are truly the best part about EF - it's the reason I decided to work here in the first place and the reason i continue to stay! such a strong and fun and hardworking company culture! -travel perks are so fun! can ebb and flow depending on tenure but would not have been able to travel as much if I did not work here -ability to grow fast and learn a lot. you are given a lot of autonomy (especially in sales) -belief in leadership. love the leadership team in my product -retention - so many people are staying right now -such a great entry level sales role to start your career in. you learn so much so fast and have fun doing it! -great work life balance. i literally never think about work on the weekends or after 5:30pm

Svantaggi

- never feel like we are getting paid enough, especially in Boston but it's a lot better than when i started 5+ years ago. with that being said, with all the free travel + fun office culture, it makes it worth it! -can be hard to find new roles since retention is so high right now so not much movement

Thanks for sharing! It’s wonderful to hear that the people and culture have kept you energized in our Boston office. The autonomy, work-life balance, and strong leadership are things that truly set EF apart and it’s great to hear that you’re learning and having so much fun along the way. Our compensation packages are reviewed regularly, and we appreciate hearing that you’ve seen progress over your tenure. We’re grateful to have you as part of the team.

Vantaggi

You get to choose your tour and recruit the students you want to bring. The paid chaperone ratio is 6:1, so it is very manageable. The tours are great and the local experts are wonderful.

Svantaggi

Company support is variable. There is high turnover and new consultants are very sales motivated and don't always get the nuances of your school or community group. I have had some WONDERFUL concusltants, but they have always been promoted before I get to work with them again.
