Vantaggi
Probably casual environment and lovely colleagues (but not all of them)
Svantaggi
1. Horrible way of how to appreciate and value people - They always position themselves as the top guy in the sleep industry, that they are one of the rare guys to generate growth during the crisis. However, employees cant cope with the ongoing inflation. No salary raise, no bonus, nothing... - Verbal appreciation is the only way of appreciating people. We are so used to those compliments "you did a great job, you nailed it, your performance is outstanding", then we are given nothing after performance review cycle, because "you are good but not enough, you didnt jump out of your comfort zone, you are only consistent. I need development" 2. Turnover is unbelievably high. - Average duration is 1 year plus a few more months. - Many teams are dissolved, because all were gone 3. No transparent salary band or communication - People with the same level are supposed to have the same salary. But no, Tech and Country teams are treated differently. They are granted full home office policy and other good benefits, while their dashboards and data in Tableau are not reliable at all for use. - People are not given any salary raise until they say they wanna leave. then the first thing coming out of Hr and your managers "how much do you want? will u stay if i offer you xx% raise". Hell no. that's too toxic. We dont wanna spend unnecessary effort to achieve sth which should have belonged to us fairly. 4. Your managers have no clues what you are doing and what's happening in the company - most of them are inexperienced without solid technical and operational skills. Only 2b and 2c level (people who have skills) get the real the jobs done. In the end all the managers take the credit. The only thing they can do is to organize team events or say something like "great job" after everything is done. - My manager once told our clients that "the process has been in place for a couple of months", while its been actually there for 2 years... They have no clues what you are doing 5. You are supposed to work in non-hierarchical company, BUT no. Hierarchies are everywhere. - All important decisions are communicated among all the leads and heads. Topics owners are ordered to implement unwanted changes, while they are the ones having enough skills and knowledge to validate the decisions - You cant make decisions, because "you are still junior". then you dont get any salary raise, because "you dont make decisions" 6. They are expanding the offices to Manila, Lisbon and now Bucharest just because they can pay lower. In the end all the offices work for Frankfurt's time. - Manila colleagues work on the weekends usually until 3am to get to the jobs done which the heads have no clue how to fix - Bucharest is actually Shares service center that gets paid as half as Frankfurt, but the C levels propagandize it as "the hub". But we actually wont sell anything there. - not convinced? check our portal and see how many open positions are really in Frankfurt? only 30%! 7. No home office policy! - The CEOs define on behalf of everyone how "networking and socializing" is supposed to be. in the end 4 FIXED DAYS A WEEK- MON TO THU. You can only work from home on Fridays... - then all the employees boycott this policy. Under pressure, he agrees on "22 days per quarter". Lets do a quick math. 22/12 (or /13). thats not even barely 2 days a week?! 8. There's no work council that can protect employees. HR is sitting next to CEOs and always "getting a piece of cake". So they are under CEO's control. You have no chance to escalate to HR in case you are in trouble. 9. Everyone doesnt dare to speak up, just for the sake of survival in this company. Hr in Emma is the most untruthful people i have ever seen. They always protect the company, defend everyone company's point. just 2 months ago i had sth to discuss with them. they still told me that "i think company policy is fair, our salary is already good", and now all of them already left?! if everything is good, why are they gone? 10. CEOs admitted that "i know our salary is below the market's median, but i dont want to raise it. Otherwise it would continuously increase the inflation and the situation would keep going on" Well. BUT he pays Lisbon and Manila above the market average.
