Vantaggi
Great team overall. Everyone I interacted with was friendly, welcoming, and easy to get along with. The people were supportive during onboarding and clearly talented, which made the environment pleasant to be part of.
Svantaggi
Joined after a thorough hiring process that included about five interview rounds and very positive feedback. During my first two weeks I was still in onboarding, shadowing teammates and learning the product and workflows. One challenge was that different team members had slightly different approaches to handling tickets and client communication, which made it difficult to quickly determine the standard approach.
In one shadowing session, my manager joined unexpectedly and began pointing out grammatical mistakes in an email draft I was working on. I fully understand how important clear written communication is with clients, especially in startups, but the situation caught me off guard since the email hadn’t been sent and I had not yet been asked to handle tickets independently. I never had the opportunity to work on tickets on my own and demonstrate how I normally approach resolving issues.
Another moment that stood out was when I built a small AI agent during my first week to help quickly surface information about issues while learning the product. My intention was simply to ramp up faster and potentially create something useful for the team. Given that the company positions itself as AI-focused, I assumed experimentation like this would be encouraged, but I was called out for doing it, which was confusing.
Two weeks into onboarding I was informed that my employment was being terminated without clear feedback on what specifically led to the decision. Given how early this was in the onboarding process, it was difficult to understand how fit or performance could be fully evaluated.
Consider giving new hires more time during onboarding to find their rhythm and providing structured feedback or early 1:1 check-ins before making final decisions.
