It is nice that the company is remote, but I have also found that this can result in less work-life balance if you have a manager that doesn’t respect a traditional work week and expects you to always be available/doesn’t have the best time management of their own.

I have gone from being one of this company’s biggest supporters to speaking out where I can to advise against working here after the last year I spent at the company. They preach core values that they largely do NOT abide by, and management often create hostile situations and/or will enable underperforming or unaccountable employees because of personal connections that regularly distract from business unit goals. This also often results in the other employees on the team having to regularly pick up extra work to try and make sure that the customers or internal teams depending on them aren’t impacted. When issues are brought up, there is a definite lack willingness to deal with the them, which often also makes them worse. One example…Harris Computer sent out ‘anonymous’ surveys asking about how comfortable and safe you feel working there, with your manager, and to report things without repercussion that was packaged as a way for them to see what can be done better in the company, but when a negative response was reported the employee was fired the very next morning. I will admit that a lot of your experience at Harris Computer depends on the particular Business Unit you work for, but as someone who has worked under (and internal support for) several different healthcare BUs during my tenure..I have seen that a lot of the problems are the same/very similar across groups, they are just handled more effectively depending on who the leaders are. Pay is also not in line with industry standards, and does not increase when more responsibilities (or even when full positions) are added on to your plate.
