Vantaggi
Flexibility: HubSpot still offers good flexibility regarding work hours and hybrid work, which is appreciated. Colleagues: The people — at least in certain teams — remain a key strength. Many colleagues are supportive, talented, and collaborative, fostering a sense of community despite recent changes.
Svantaggi
Cultural shift: HubSpot's once-renowned company culture has taken a disappointing turn. The top management’s push for ambiguous concepts like "high-performance culture" and "remarkability" seems more like a way to justify unpopular decisions rather than genuinely uplift employees. Loss of benefits: Many of the benefits that once made HubSpot a competitive and attractive workplace — such as the "week of rest," "unlimited paid time off," and the "sabbatical stipend" — have been removed, even though salaries were never the most competitive in the market. Gaslighting culture: There’s a growing sense that employees who express concerns about these changes are subtly gaslit into believing they’re simply not "hungry enough" or "customer-first" if they don’t embrace the new direction. This approach has fostered a more self-serving environment, a stark contrast to the company’s former mission of "building a product for the customer and one for the employee," as outlined in our original Culture Code.
