Extremely poor communication top-down and sideways. Arrogant attitude regarding new ideas. Very retro management philosophy. Inept HR people. Repeat INEPT HR people . Poorly-selected managers at the middle and senior management levels. Not a meritocracy but rather an old boys (and depending on the area: old girls) network. Very sad as they absorb smaller firms and smash their cultures to pieces while paying lip service to valuing them. I am all for progress and willingly acknowledge a superior entity, but in Jacobs case they go the other direction toward mediocrity.
