Vantaggi
Dogs in the office and some nice people. Good office location and good (free) coffee.
Svantaggi
To be honest, I don’t think Monese has a long and bright future. Firstly, company priorities change way too often, even leadership has no idea what to do next or where the roads will take. No vision whatsoever, no proper communication. Secondly, current leadership team is not cut out for the job and most of them base their actions on what they personally want. They demand respect rather than try to earn it. There’s a saying in Estonia that fish start rotting from the head and that’s also the case in Monese. There’s a lot of smart people in the company, but most of them are too burnt out to do their job properly, there’s a lot to be done but not enough people. The ones who are not burnt out and still have some spark left, will not be taken seriously and there’s no trust in them. You’ll be able to succeed and be valued if you’re a part of a certain leadership member’s secret club. As long as you’re agreeing with them, you’ll be golden. Norris is actually nice as a person, but he’s blind when it comes to the leadership team and their (and his own) work. Working in Monese is like riding an endless rollercoaster, but the the only high is having coffee with your team and petting the dogs. There’s no company culture and nothing to build it on. Leadership clearly doesn’t think it’s wise to put money in company events or office, not to mention the wellbeing of employees.
