Cut throat, everyone looking out for themselves(caused by shrinking territories size, too many divisions and orgs calling into same accounts). Can have 30+ reps calling into 1 account all selling different products, services. Many layers of management, tons of systems to use, navigate and slow down deals and approvals. Many tenured field reps and managers leaving. Hiring younger, cheaper college grads for inside sales positions
