Vantaggi

Very good benefits, could be better. Decent salary, they can pay much better and should (because of con#1) Access to some very smart people. Good learning opportunities

Svantaggi

1) WLB can be nonexistent, especially if you work in corporate BU'. Senior leaders, band 5 and above, are virtually unreachable, due to strict vertical hierarchy. They pretend to listen and act cool during "townhalls", but they are really out of their depth when it comes to employee mental health. 2) From above, the ways they approach burnout issues is outdated and most younger Bands are getting sick and tired of it, especially in the way PG handled WFH during the pandemic. Their management style needs to adapt to the times. 3) Fear is encouraged top to bottom as a management strategy, Impact Plans be damned. If someone upstairs doesn't like you for whatever reason, your perfect Impact Plan is not going to help. So better wet those lips, because... 4) To get to the top, the most sure fire way is flattery.

Vantaggi

Many intelligent people who are experts in their fields who are willing to help and provide advice (if they have time). Decent benefits and pay.

Svantaggi

I mentioned time because many people are stretched and overworked. Work life balance is pretty bad and shows no signs of improvement. A lot of this can be attributed to near useless management. Every project is treated as absolute maximum priority but can still be dropped at a moment's notice. Work processes are horribly cumbersome and slow. Even small changes require many approvals but there are endless demands to "move faster".
