C suite delivering contradicting messages to customer teams vs what the delivery teams are saying (and is correct). Poor best practice- very defensive engineering teams rather than collaborative. No peer reviews or independent reviews taking place, engineers take this as offense with zero quality management. Issues are faced defensively and to point blame rather than figure out together what is best for the customer and how best to move forwards collaboratively and use it as a learning opportunity. There are huge gaps between different areas of the company and how they are run, as well as what seems like a lot of rivalry between teams when it should be all one team. Overall a really negative culture, very poorly run projects and engineering direction. Middle management do their best to support with this but often seems a losing battle. Engineering teams seriously lack direction and ownership - head against a brick wall constantly. Never experienced such negativity, or been spoken to so poorly in a professional environment. Disconnect between sales and delivery. Project teams not even tracking cost vs actuals and margins. Total disarray. CEO also just disappeared as well as another C suite member with minimal fallout comms on this.
