Management direction tends to shift frequently, which creates uncertainty and makes it difficult for teams to stay aligned on long-term goals. There is also limited openness to feedback from ground teams, resulting in decisions that may not reflect operational realities. Career progression is unclear, with few structured pathways for growth. High performers often feel “locked in” to their current roles rather than being developed for the next step, which can be demotivating over time. There is a strong tendency toward micromanagement. Even when targets are achieved, top performers are consistently pushed for more until the very last day, with little recognition or space to sustain performance.
