Synopsys is a very well run company that continues to find ways to grow. I have been with the company through some economic downturns and feel like the senior management will make the right decisions to keep the company going for the long run. The atmosphere is not as stressful as other companies I have worked for, which is a very big positive. The company is demanding and there is pressure to deliver but it is not overbearing.

Due to the nature of the EDA business, it is difficult to move from one group to another. Each group has very specific expertise requirements that make it hard to jump from one team to another. If you have been in a position for a while and would like a new and different challenge, this is a negative.
