In spite of being in a highly competitive industry with price being the primary competitive tool, Synopsys manages to do well because it has a good set of engineers and good customer support. Most groups have a decent set of folks who are amicable and professional at their work. Having bought a lot of technology, there are several people who are from start-ups and have plenty of experience in getting successful products to market. Makes it an enriching work experience.
