Founded by Harvard grads so it's full of people who have never met a real human being in their lives. This affected decision making at all levels. I had to get CEO and COO permission to pay an employee an extra £500 a year for an internal team move, at the same time they had a whole operation set up in a country by a rogue employee which was costing thousands that they had no idea about. No one was fired for this gross misconduct. Bad priority management and a fundamental lack of understanding of their customers and what they wanted. E.g. the CEO would decide on areas of customer service that he had no expertise on and were so fine grain detail that there may as well not have been a customer service mgmt team. His decisions were usually the wrong ones based on too little data or edge cases as well.
