The culture has been shifting dramatically in the last few years, and while there is still room for improvement, it is a much more positive environment. Hours can be long, projects can be monsters, but for those willing to put in the time and effort can reap a good deal of rewards - money, job/location mobility, etc.

Long hours can make a healthy work/life balance difficult, especially out of New York. Processes can be frustrating to understand at times. Work hard/play hard mentality is not for everyone.
