Call 1 HR, light and easy. Getting to know you. Nothing out of the ordinary.
Call 2 Discussion with Hiring Manager, focused on management style. Quite interesting chap. Very interested in working with this person. Very impressive.
Call 3 Technical interview. This is where they failed to impress in even the most generous way possible.
